Cardicor Plus 5/6.25 is a combination of Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide, which belong to the group of medicines called Beta blockers and Thiazide diuretics, respectively. It is used to manage hypertension. Hypertension is a condition in which the force of the blood is consistently high against the walls of the arteries, which can increase the risk of heart disease, kidney disease, and stroke.
Take this medicine with or without food. Before taking Cardicor Plus 5/6.25, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have any problems related to the kidney, liver, lungs, or heart, or if you have other conditions such as diabetes, thyroid problems, psoriasis, metabolic acidosis, non-melanoma skin cancer, or altered electrolyte levels.
Cardicor Plus 5/6.25 is not recommended for children and adolescents younger than 18 years of age. If you are taking any other medicines for other conditions or have a history of drug allergies, inform your doctor, as they may manage drug-related interactions and serious side effects. The most common side effects of Cardicor Plus 5/6.25 are headache, dizziness, tiredness, weakness, and nausea. Consult your doctor for advice if your symptoms get worse over time.
